April’s Talk - Charles MacCarthy - our President -“It’s in the genes”

On April 7th Charles is telling us about his family, many of whom were (French) artists, over six generations - yes that wasn’t a typo - SIX generations!  He sent this image of the apostles on the spire of Notre Dame Cathedral which were sculptured by his great great Grandfather, Victor Geoffrey-Dechaume in the 1860’s.  It sounds absolutely fascinating so do try to make it.

The talk is at our usual venue in the Studio, at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms and starts at 7.30 pm so please arrive early, from 7pm. onwards.  I look forward to seeing you there.

The cost is £3.00 for members, £1.00 for students and £5 for non members.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are available for which we ask for a small donation of approx 50p.

  1. This looks really interesting. Charles' paintings and history are interesting too, including managing to work as an auxiliary nurse. The kindness shows in his painting, i think. I should move nearer to Ludlow! (Matt Smart)
