2016 AGM and pictures from the "Monthly draw"

The AGM was both interesting and informative.  Chairman, Sam Manley, ran through the society’s 70 year history and highlighted the important role it still has in promoting art in Ludlow.

There are many committee changes this year, Tom Crowe resigns as Treasurer and takes over as Membership Secretary.  Ruth Tune resigns Membership and continues within the committee as a Vice President.  Sam Manley is easing out of Webmaster duties and Jean Simnett will be taking over this role.  Lesley Connolly is vacating the Programme Secretaries role but continues within the new  exhibition sub committee, which also includes Susanna Checketts, Anne Fox, Ruth Tune, Jean Simnett and Pat Innes who also continues as Secretary.  Two new committee members, John Jarvis, has taken over as Treasurer, and Sam Bebb.  Vacancies still exist for Programme  and Publicity Secretaries. Full details will be available to members shortly.

The main business complete we spent some time enjoying a buffet provided by Lesley Connolly and Jean Simnett whilst viewing this months drawings following the theme “Construction Site”.  As you can see from the pictures below this took many forms.

Next months theme was drawn from the hat and is “Book Title”.

Bring your interpretation to next months talk “It’s in the genes” on 7th April, which is our President Charles McCarthy who will be talking about his own work and that of his family members.
